Uses of Aluminium foils in Construction

Aluminium foil prevents buildings from heating up by acting as a radiant barrier. Its highly reflective surface bounces up to 95% to 98% of radiant heat and sunlight away from the structure, preventing the building materials from absorbing the sun's thermal energy. 

The mechanisms behind how this works include:

  • Blocking Radiant Heat: Most heat entering a building is transferred via radiation. Because foil is a metal, it hardly transmits electromagnetic radiation and acts like a mirror, reflecting infrared heat back toward the atmosphere. 
  • Low Emissivity: The shiny surface has low heat emissivity, meaning it absorbs and re-radiates very little heat into the interior space once the sun goes down. 
  • Air Gap Necessity: Because aluminium is an efficient conductor, it shouldn't directly touch hot surfaces. Instead, foil is often paired with a physical insulating material (like Aluminium Bubble Insulation or Mineral Wool) to create air spaces. This combined approach stops heat from transferring by conduction and convection, blocking roughly 60% to 75% of the total heat from entering the building. 

So finally what I say is Alluminium foils perfectly prevents building from heat. In tropical countries people are in high need of alluminium foils. Kindly discuss with your engineer while you implement this on your building. Defenitely it works.
